If your business is growing and you’re considering hiring new employees there are several grants available to encourage employers to hire.
If you’re considering taking on an apprentice, you could access the federal government’s Australian Apprenticeships Incentives Program and receive a subsidy.
There are also a range of subsidies available for hiring long-term unemployed called “Wage Connect”. Wage Connect can help you offset the costs of wages and training for new employees for the first six months they are in the job. You may be eligible to receive a subsidy of approximately $6,050 for each job placement, or around $233 per week (pre-GST).
Employers who give jobs to people with disability may be able to get financial help from the Australian Government. This help is available through the Wage Subsidy Scheme and the Enhanced Wage Subsidy Scheme.
